Professional Ceramic Coating in Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles is tough on paint, with strong sun, freeway grime, and hard water spots that leave even newer cars looking tired. Our ceramic coating service adds a slick, glass-like layer that bonds to your clear coat for deeper gloss and a finish that sheds water and dirt with ease.

Why Ceramic Coating

What Ceramic Coating Does for Your Vehicle

Longer Lasting Than Wax

Think of ceramic coating as a semi-permanent upgrade to your car's finish. Traditional wax sits on top of the paint and wears away within weeks. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the surface and cures into a hard, clear layer that lasts for years with the right care, and it holds up far better to heat, rain, and harsh soaps than than traditional wax or spray sealants. Whether you want a year of extra gloss on a daily driver or long-lasting shine on a car you plan to keep, there is a coating here that fits.

Deeper Gloss and Easier Washing

The first change you will notice is how the car looks. Colors appear richer, metallic flake stands out, and dark paint takes on a wet, mirror-like depth. The next change shows up on wash day. Water beads and rolls off, road film releases with less effort, and bird droppings and tree sap wipe away more easily before they have a chance to etch. Washing takes less time, and the shine you see on pickup day lasts well beyond the first few weeks.

A coating also adds UV protection, which matters here more than most places. The EPA's UV Index tracks how strong the sun is each day, and Southern California spends much of the year in the high range. Over time that exposure fades paint and dries out trim. A coating helps slow that process, and parking in a garage or shade helps even more.

Ceramic Coating Care

Keeping Your Coating Looking Its Best

A coated car is easier to care for, but it is not maintenance free. Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral soap keeps the surface clean and lets the coating do its job. We recommend skipping automatic car washes with brushes, which can leave fine marks, and drying with a soft microfiber towel or filtered air. Try to wash every week or two, and rinse off bird droppings or sap as soon as you spot them.

If you would rather leave upkeep to us, the Maintenance Detail in our full detailing lineup uses only coating-safe, pH-neutral products that keep the finish in top shape. Premium clients also purchase an annual Lite top-off, which keeps the 8-year warranty active and refreshes that just-coated feel. Whatever package you choose, we will walk you through how to care for it before you drive away.

Why Prep Work Makes the Difference

A Clean Slate for Your Coating

A ceramic coating is clear, so it magnifies whatever sits beneath it. Swirl marks, water spots, and embedded grime do not disappear under a coating; they get locked in and become easier to see. That is why prep takes up most of the time your car spends with us, and why every job is done indoors where lighting and temperature stay controlled from start to finish.

Our Prep Process

Depending on the package, the process starts with a thorough wash, iron and fallout removal, and a clay bar treatment to pull out contaminants you can feel but not see. From there, we move to machine polishing or full paint correction to refine the clear coat and bring out as much clarity as possible. On our Premium package, we take paint depth readings first so every step is matched to the paint on your car. Only then does the coating go on, panel by panel, followed by time to cure before the car leaves the shop.

Gentle Prep for Satin and Matte Finishes

Satin and matte vehicles follow a different path. These finishes should never be polished, so we use satin-safe cleaners and skip gloss products entirely. The result is a finish that keeps its original low-sheen look while becoming far easier to keep clean.

Questions and Answers

Ceramic Coating FAQ

  • How long does ceramic coating last?

It depends on the coating and how the car is cared for. Our options carry 1-year, 4-year, and 8-year transferable warranties, and regular hand washing helps any coating reach its full lifespan.

  • Will ceramic coating stop rock chips and scratches?

A ceramic coating adds gloss and makes washing easier, but it does not stop rock chips or deep scratches, and it still needs regular washing. If chip resistance is your top concern, paint protection film is the better fit, and the two work well together.

  • Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

Correcting the paint first gives the best result, since a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. That is why our Classic and Premium packages include paint correction, while Lite starts with a light machine polish.

  • Can ceramic coating go on satin or matte paint?

It can, as long as it is the right coating. Our Satin package uses a coating made for satin and matte paint as well as satin film, and it makes the finish easier to clean without adding shine.

  • Can you apply ceramic coating over paint protection film?

Coating over film is a popular combination. The film handles rock chips while the coating adds gloss and makes the film easier to wash. Ask us about pairing the two during your QUOTE

  • How long will my car be at the shop?

Plan on about one day for our Lite package, one to two days for Classic or Satin, and two to three days for Premium. The coating needs time to cure before the car heads home.
